Educational Tour Itinerary

Day 1   Industrial Plant Tour  - PASAR and PHILPHOS

Learn and be captivated of the two industrial plants located in Isabel Leyte on their industrial processes and operations of the only copper smelter and refinery in the Philippines (PASAR) and the country’s leading producer of phosphatic fertilizer (PHILPHOS) which has one of the largest fertilizer processing capacities in the ASEAN region.

Day 2     Day Tour of Choice

After breakfast, guests will proceed to their choice of one of the following tours:

1. Ormoc City Tour , Ormoc Lake Danao Natural Park (148 hectare lake in a forest   
    reservation) with side trip tour at EDC Leyte  Geothermal View Deck 
    (one of the largest wet steam field in the world)

2. Ormoc City Tour with Farm Tours (Sals Pineapple Farm, Sheep and Cattle Farm)

3. Ormoc City Tour with Sibugay Mountain Resort Package (Fresh water pool with Zip line)

4. Ormoc City Tour with Baybayon ni Agalon Getaway Package ( a Beach Resort with
    fresh water swimming pool with slide, native cottages, mini zoo & fish spa)

5. Ormoc City Tour with Campus Tour of Visayan State University  (the only resort   
   university in Leyte with swimming pool and cottages )

Educational Tour Requirements:

1) Letter of Intent with attached complete list of group signed by the Teacher/Professor and          the Dean written on the University’s or Schools official letterhead. 

2) Plant tours must be confirmed at least (2) months before intended tour date.

3) Deposit payment of 10% of total package required before confirmation of tour, terms of            payment available upon request.

Package Conditions:

• Group must arrive Ormoc not later than 6:00 am on Day 1; depart not earlier than 6:00 pm on Day 2 to avail of this tour schedule;
•  other inclusions can be added depending on the groups ETA and ETD.
• Detailed itinerary will be provided once booking has been confirmed.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Ormoc City Tour, Lake Danao and EDC Geothermal Powerplant Viewdeck

        Meet and greet group at the port, transfer to hotel, proceed to Ormoc City Tour, then lunch in the midst of the pristine and beautiful scenery of Ormoc Lake Danao. Then, be educationally fascinated with the view of EDC Geothermal Plant - one the major contributors of electricity in the Philippines and one of the largest wet steam fields of the world. Overnight in Ormoc City. 

Day 2  Industrial Plant Tours -  PASAR and PHILPHOS

       Industrial plant tour of the two industrial plants of our country located in Isabel, Leyte. Learn and be captivated by their industrial processes and operations. Day 3    Kalanggaman Island Getaway

    The last day of the tour will be to Kalanggaman Island, “Palompon’s paradise”. Kalanggaman is located off the shore of the municipality of Palompon. This island is known for its long sand bars with fine white sand stretching on both sides of the island. Give in to the captivating beauty of Kalanggaman Island.
